Prompt #3

Writing prompt #3- What kind of student are you?

I am aggressive when in a group when we are doing projects. During discussions, though, I tend to sit back and only put in some (hopefully well- thought) input. Well, most of the time. There was this one time during a History discussion that everyone was yelling and I just sorta sat back….then joined the fray with my own opinion.
Haha, I’m so weird! :P
Anyway, I suppose North* people can get really loud and stuff, just to make sure everyone is paying attention. And interrupting. I used to do that a lot, but now I try to catch myself and just stop, say sorry, and let the other person finish. Otherwise, I’ll never get my word in (and you know how important it is :D ) and the conversation will end and the topic will be effectively cut off, and I’ll never get to say what I had wanted to say.
Competitiveness. Another big thing. Like in Science, when I’m competing with Hari and Colin and Austin and all the other guys I sit with. (Not of my own accord, we have assigned seats. I dunno, all my friends are guy friends. Girls are way too…..too…..girly.) Also in sports, or PE. I just HAVE TO WIN!

I think I want to be more detailed oriented and open to ideas.

*As to the reference to the North-

By this, I do not mean if you were born in Ohio or something. There was this game we played in Advisory, and it was how you studied, using the four cardinal directions as sections for different people. Northerners are aggressive, who usually lead and barge ahead, not really thinking of other's ideas, or just being leaders and tackling projects. Westerners are OCD people who pay attention to every little detail, but are not able to see the whole picture. They may plan out every little piece of the project, but are not really able to put it together. Southerners are gentle, kind, listening to others and paying attention to all input. This may sound good, but this impassiveness may lead to an inability to decide on things, since they desperately want to have everyone's input in and thinks nobody should be left out. Easterners can only see the big picture- they have this great idea, but they can't plan the steps in between, leading a big disaster midway because it was unexpected. So, which direction are you? you can be split between two who are next to each other, like Northwest, but you definitely cannot be something like North and South. So, figure out who you are, and comment below!

PS. I know it's been a long time, but I kind of lost interest in this blog. Up until now, of course. A Long one to make up for the absence!
